Neurology is the study of the nervous system as well as all of its functions and diseases. A Veterinary Neurologist specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. This includes a wide range of disorders:

• Epilepsy
• Concussions
• ruptured discs
• spinal cord injuries
• head trauma
• brain tumors

Diagnosis and treatment of a neurological disorder can be complex and challenging, general practice veterinarians often work with our board-certified veterinary neurologist, who is an expert in managing disorders of the brain, spinal cord and neuromuscular system.  

Our facility offers state of the art diagnostics, including on site CT scan and outside availability for MRI’s. By combining proven diagnostic methods with new advancements in technology and medicine, we are able to formulate an individualized treatment plan that best meets the needs of your pet as well as your budget.

Although neurological disorders sometimes cause great distress for pets and owners, many problems are highly treatable. Drug therapy is often a very effective treatment, however, surgery may be necessary.
