










Dr. Marlo Anderson began her journey into veterinary medicine in 1999. After completing a 4 year bachelor’s degree in biology, she then completed a 4 year post-graduate degree in veterinary medicine at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN. In 2003, she went on to complete a 1 year internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Charlotte, NC. In 2004, she began a 3 year residency program in emergency and critical care medicine in Towson, Maryland at the Pet + ER.
She joined the LVSES team in 2005 and completed her residency program. This past November in 2009, she successfully passed her certification exam and is now a specialist in her field and considered a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. She is one of 3 specialists to carry this title in the state of Kentucky. Dr. Anderson assists in overseeing the Intensive Care Unit here at LVSES and teaching in our emergency and critical care residency program with Dr. Tom Day.
Dr. Marlo Anderson is a native of Memphis, TN and in her spare time she enjoys spending time doing many unique hobbies including being a investigator and case manager of a local paranormal organization, gardening, scrapbooking, reading and is a volunteer for Raptor Rehab of Kentucky. Dr. Anderson has recently become certified as a Reiki II practitioner. She has been a long time ice skater and is currently a synchronized ice-skating competitor. She currently lives with her boyfriend and their 4 dogs, 3 cats, and 1 iguana.
