










Dr. Mary Lauren Mesich is a native of Tennessee and received her veterinary degree from University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. During that time, she was active in multiple clubs including the small animal surgical emergency team which helped solidify her interest in advanced surgery. She participated in a rotating small animal surgery and medicine internship at North Carolina State University. She was accepted as a small animal surgery resident at the University of Pennsylvania where she spent three years training in a broad range of surgical techniques under an experienced surgical department. Completion of residency training and research commitments commenced in July of 2009. Dr. Mesich passed her board exams and is Board Certified Surgeon.
During her veterinary training, she was active in photography, illustration, and soccer which she continues to enjoy. Since her recent marriage, her and her husband have enjoyed traveling and hiking in various national parks.
