Dr. Christina Wolf is a native of Louisville, KY.  She graduated from Pleasure Ridge Park High School.  She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from the University of Kentucky.  Following graduation, she stayed in Lexington and worked in both small and large animal practice as a veterinary assistant.   It was these enjoyable experiences in the veterinary field that led her to apply to veterinary school.

Dr. Wolf was admitted to Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in the Fall 2001.  While attending Auburn, she was an active member of OTS, a veterinary service and social fraternity.  She developed an interest in veterinary neurology during her 3rd year of veterinary college and completed extra rotations in this field during her final clinical year.  After graduating from Auburn in the spring of 2005, Dr. Wolf relocated to Knoxville, TN for additional training in small animal medicine.  She completed her internship with the University of Tennessee’s College of Veterinary Medicine in small animal medicine and surgery in the Spring of 2006 and was accepted to stay on for residency training in veterinary neurology.  Dr. Wolf completed her residency training and passed her specialty examination in the summer of 2009 earning her ACVIM Diplomate certificate.  Dr. Wolf joined LVSES in July 2009 and has enjoyed becoming part of the Louisville community once again.

Throughout her veterinary studies, Dr. Wolf has enjoyed hiking, biking, and staying in touch with friends and family.  With her long-term boyfriend, she has hiked extensively in the Smoky Mountains and particularly enjoys Mt. LeConte.  She has retired her bike for the winter and is currently spending her free time studying Hungarian in preparation for a trip this winter.  She has a fantastic beagle mix named Gerty who may be the best dog in the world.  Finally, she is happy to be back in town with family.

Dr. Wolf’s professional interests are wide-ranging and include spinal surgery (hemilaminectomies, ventral slots, and spinal tumor resection) and epilepsy.  She counts herself lucky to spend her days with our furry companions.
