Louisville Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Services (LVSES) is the only 24-hour veterinary facility that offers exclusively emergency and critical medicine by emergency specialist Dr. Tom Day and his staff of doctors, technicians, assistants and receptionists. LVSES has been providing service to Louisville, southern Indiana and the surrounding area since June, 1998.

The patient pictured above, Copper the Labrador Retriever, is being treated for a fungal infection called histoplasmosis. The fungus is throughout his body, including the liver and intestines. He is a wonderful dog and is receiving complete nutrition thouh a specialized catheter located in the jugular vein as well as through a tube that has been inserted into his stomach through his nose. He is receiving an anitfungal medication intravenously.
